Wellspring FCU Converts to FLEX for Credit Union Data Processing

Sandy, Utah (July 3, 2017) —  The Texas-based Wellspring Federal Credit Union completed their core conversion to the FLEX data processing system on July 1, 2017. With $48 million in assets and 6,300 members, Wellspring FCU is an important addition to the FLEX family. Led by CEO, Janna Achord, the credit union is positioned to grow over the coming years. When asked why the credit union decided to go with FLEX for their core system, Achord responded, “For us, it was the integration FLEX offered. We are looking to streamline our processes and FLEX offers so many opportunities for us to do that.”

Receiving their community-based charter in 1999 the credit union chose to rename themselves in 2014, becoming Wellspring Federal Credit Union. Wellspring, defined as “an abundant source”, describes the credit union’s personality as a unique and abundant resource for their members in meeting their many financial needs.

Wellspring FCU strives to create a unique member experience and provide members with exceptional financial service every time they visit. Part of this goal involves technology, both in-branch and mobile.  “In addition to streamlined processes, the internet and mobile banking solutions FLEX offers will be easier for our members to use and will allow us to provide some upgraded features,” Achord continued.

“We are excited for Wellspring Federal Credit Union to join the 40 Texas credit unions already using FLEX. With core software developed for maximum efficiency and robust mobile products designed to meet member demands, we are confident that Wellspring FCU and their members will be pleased with their new technology,” detailed Sean Holcomb, Chief Operations Officer for FLEX.

With 16% of FLEX users based in Texas, Wellspring FCU will be among friends as they transition to FLEX credit union technology.
