Sandy, UT (July 5, 2016) — Transtar Federal Credit Union of Houston, TX converted to FLEX on July 1, 2016. The 4,400 member credit union has $35 million in assets and selected the hosted facilities management version of FLEX, stating that it would allow them to maintain staff levels yet provide more features and services to their members. The theme surrounding the benefits realized by Transtar Federal Credit Union in selecting the FLEX credit union core system was the all-inclusive product set offered by FLEX. Highlights mentioned during the selection process included the native integration of GL/Accounting with real-time financials and transaction processing, including internet and mobile banking transactions with Check 21 and remote deposit capture items directly built-in to the system, and being able to achieve a paperless environment which allows both credit union staff and member access from various touch points within the system – all of which promote better service and savings to the credit union. CEO James Tuggle commented on the ease of logging into just one system with quick access to all system features, a considerable reduction from that of their previous core processor.
