FLEX Ten Feature Release Notes – 06/08

Each type of change is separated into one or more of the following categories:

  • New Feature
    • A completely new capability that did not exist in the product before. Examples: a new module, a new workflow, a new integration, or a new type of report.
  • Enhancement
    • A change that makes an existing feature more useful or convenient without fundamentally changing what it does. Typically focused on usability or small functional upgrades. Examples: adding a new filter to an existing report, adding an extra field to a form, improving how a screen is laid out.
  • Improvement
    • A general upgrade to how the product behaves or operates, often broader than a single feature. Can apply to process, maintainability, reliability, or user experience. Examples: simplifying a workflow, reducing steps to complete a task, cleaning up confusing labels, making error messages clearer.
  • Performance Upgrade
    • Changes specifically aimed at speed, responsiveness, or scalability rather than new functionality. Examples: faster page loads, quicker batch processing, reduced query time, better performance under high load.
  • Bug Fix
    • A correction to behavior that was not working as intended (a defect). The goal is to make the product behave according to existing requirements or design, not to add new behavior. Examples: fixing incorrect calculations, resolving crashes, correcting data being saved incorrectly.
