Mobicint


Mobicint is the FLEX Internet Banking Solution, designed with a focus on responsive design, simplified views, and enhanced user experience. It integrates seamlessly with the FLEX API and offers a comprehensive suite of features for both desktop and mobile devices.

1. Overview of Mobicint

Mobicint provides a modern and efficient internet banking experience, offering:

  • Responsive Design: Screens adapt and render optimally across various devices, including desktops and mobile devices.
  • Simplified Views: Streamlined interfaces for quicker navigation and information retrieval.
  • Mobile-First Design: Developed with mobile devices in mind, ensuring a robust mobile application experience.
  • Flexible Deployment: Can be hosted on your own server using your domain, communicating with the FLEX API. Remote login JavaScript files are provided.
  • Feature Parity: Includes all features available in both the mobile and internet banking versions.

2. Technical Standards and Technologies

Mobicint adheres to industry standards and utilizes the following key technologies:

  • Bootstrap: For responsive, mobile-first front-end development.
  • Angular: A platform and framework for building single-page client applications using HTML and TypeScript.
  • Less/CSS3: For styling and visual presentation.
  • HTML5: The core markup language for structuring and presenting content on the World Wide Web.
  • JSON: A lightweight data-interchange format for data transmission between the UI and FLEX servers.

3. Core Features and Functionality

3.1. Login and Authentication

  • Login Process: Users enter a username and password.
  • Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): Applied if configured for enhanced security.
  • Account Enrollment: Users not yet enrolled in internet banking can complete a short form to verify account ownership and enroll.
  • Security Image: A user-selected image is presented during login as an additional visual confirmation of communicating with the legitimate site.

3.2. Account Summary

The Account Summary provides a comprehensive overview of a user’s financial standing, including:

  • Shares:
    • Displays Regular, Reward Checking, and Escrow Shares.
    • Shows current Balance and Available Balance.
    • Includes “Quick Transfer” options for immediate transfers.
  • Loans:
    • Lists various loan types (e.g., Overdraft, New Auto, VISA PLATI, MTG BKT, Home Equity).
    • Provides Balance, Available amount, Payoff amount, and upcoming Payment details (amount and due date).
    • “MAKE PAYMENT” option for direct loan payments.
  • Scheduled Bill Payments:
    • Lists scheduled payments for various categories (e.g., Credit Card, Internet, House).
    • “LOGIN TO BILLPAY” option to access the bill payment system.
  • Due This Week:
    • Summarizes upcoming loan payments due within the current week.

3.3. History

The History section offers detailed transaction information and viewing options:

  • Suffix Details: Shows transaction details in a sidebar, with quick access to other suffixes.
  • Month-to-Month Views: Easily navigate through monthly transaction history.
  • Filtering and Exporting: Options to filter transactions and export data.
  • Check Views: Access to view images of processed checks.
  • History Details: Clicking on a transaction displays:
    • Transaction Date
    • Transaction Amount
    • Balance
    • Transaction Number
    • Trace Number
    • Full Description
    • Check view (if applicable)

3.4. Transfers

Mobicint simplifies money transfers with an all-in-one screen interface:

  • One-Time Transfers: Perform immediate transfers within the account or to external accounts.
  • Scheduled Transfers:
    • Schedule one-time transfers for a future date.
    • Set up recurring auto-transfers with various frequencies:
      • One time
      • Weekly
      • Bi-weekly (including skip first/last options)
      • Semi-monthly
      • Monthly
      • Quarterly
      • Semi-annually
      • Last day of month/quarter/June and December/year
      • Yearly
  • External Account Transfers:
    • When “Other Account” is selected, fields for Account and Suffix appear.
    • ACH Origination: Allows setting up ACH origination to transfer funds to or from another financial institution (requires ACH Origination; refer to ACH Origination documentation for details).
    • Users can link external accounts by providing:
      • Account type
      • Routing number
      • Account number
      • Account description

3.5. Menu Options (Services)

The main menu provides access to a wide range of services (note: available options may vary based on credit union services):

  • Year to Date:
    • Displays Year to Date information for all suffixes.
    • Includes dividends, interest, withholdings, and late charges for both shares and loans.
  • Outstanding NSF: Shows any non-sufficient funds items.
  • External Accounts: Manages external account links and ACH origination.
  • Holds, Pledges, Pending ACH: Displays any holds, pledges, and/or pending ACH transactions on the account.
  • Statements + Documents: Allows viewing and saving monthly account statements and other related documents.
  • Remote Control Cards:
    • Enables real-time management of debit/credit cards.
    • Users can change card status (e.g., if stolen or misplaced).
    • Requires Mobicint Mobile and additional setup (refer to Remote Control Cards documentation).
  • Loan Application:
    • Provides a loan payment calculator.
    • Allows users to apply for various loan types (e.g., Used Car, New Car, Signature Loan, Home Equity, VISA Advantage).
  • Secure Messaging: Enables members to send secure messages directly to the credit union.
  • eAlerts:
    • Allows members to manage and receive eAlerts based on specific account activity.
    • Refer to eAlert documentation for detailed instructions.

3.6. User Profile and Settings

The User Profile section allows for extensive customization and security management:

  • Settings:
    • Edit username and password.
    • Set default accounts.
    • Manage registered devices.
    • Edit suffix descriptions.
    • Update security settings.
    • Edit, add, or delete email addresses.
  • Notification Center:
    • Displays customizable notifications from the credit union.
    • Notifications appear on the main screen and are accessible via the menu.
  • Device Management:
    • View currently registered devices (mobile and desktop).
    • Unregister or delete devices.
    • Registering a desktop computer allows skipping high-risk authentication in the future.
  • Update Security Settings (Multi-Factor Security Update):
    • Security Contacts: Manage email addresses for receiving special authentication codes for external identity verification. At least one email must be on file.
    • Device Management: Access the device manager to manage account devices.
    • Security Image: Select or change the security image presented during login for identity confirmation.
