Manually Posting Exceptions in Card Processing
This document outlines the procedure for manually handling and posting exceptions within the Card Processing module of the FLEX system.
1. Accessing Card Processing
To begin, navigate to the Card Processing screen:
- From the FLEX Main Menu, select Cards.
- Under the Cards section, click on Card Processing.
2. Importing Exceptions
Once in the Card Processing screen, you can import exceptions:
- Ensure the Screen Mode is set to Card Processing.
- Ensure the Processing Mode is set to Exceptions.
- Click the Import button.
- Note: FLEX automatically imports any exceptions for the date currently being balanced.
3. Viewing Imported Exceptions
After importing, change the Processing Mode to view the pending exceptions:
- Change the Processing Mode dropdown to Pending.
4. Handling Imported Exceptions
Imported exceptions can be managed in several ways:
- Delete Exceptions:
- For exceptions that have already been posted to the member’s account, select the specific transaction.
- Click the Delete button.
- Edit/Override Exceptions:
- For exceptions that require modification or an override, select the relevant transaction.
- Click the Edit button.
- Post Exceptions (No Action Required):
- For exceptions that are ready to be posted to the member’s account without any prior modification, simply leave them in the Pending Card Transactions window.
5. Posting All Exceptions
Once all exceptions have been addressed and are ready for final processing:
- Click the Post button to complete the process.
- Note: All transactions posted through this process will automatically apply towards Reg E requirements.
