This document provides technical guidance for utilizing the Card Account Maintenance feature within the FLEX system, accessible via www.flexcutech.com. This feature automatically creates an account maintenance record when a new card is added.

Accessing Card Account Maintenance

To access Card Account Maintenance:

  • Navigate to the FLEX Main Menu.
  • Expand the Cards section.
  • Select Card Account Maintenance.

Overview of Card Account Maintenance Screen

Upon accessing, the Card Account Maintenance screen displays an “Account List” with key information for the entered account number.

Account List Fields:

  • Account Number: The primary identifier for the account.
  • Last Activity Date: The date of the last transaction activity on the account.
  • Name: The name of the cardholder associated with the account.
  • Number Of Cards: The total number of cards linked to the account.

Actions on the Account List:

  • Add: Create a new card account record.
  • Edit: Modify an existing card account record (select a record and click Edit).
  • Delete: Remove an existing card account record (select a record and click Delete).
  • Audit: View audit trails for account changes.

Editing Card Account Details

When you click “Edit” for an existing record, the “Edit Card Account” screen appears, providing detailed sections for managing card account settings.

Miscellaneous Section

This section displays general information and allows for specific account configurations.

  • Last Activity Date/Time: Displays the exact date and time of the last transaction activity.
  • Charge Fees:
    • Checkbox: Select this option to allow card processing-related fees to be assessed to the account.
  • Override Deny If Delinquent:
    • Checkbox: Select this option to permit the card to be used even if the associated account has a delinquent loan.

Card Count Section

This section provides an overview of the card statuses linked to the account.

  • Active Cards: Displays the number of cards currently active and assigned to the account.
  • Blocked/Expired Cards: Displays the number of cards that are either blocked or have expired for the account.

Daily Limits Section

This section allows for the configuration of daily spending and transaction limits across different transaction types.

  • Effective Date: Displays the date from which the configured limits become active.

Limit Types (Applicable to Total Debit, ATM (PIN), and POS (Sig)):

  • Used: Displays the total amount of transacted debits for the current day for the respective limit type.
  • Temp Limit:
    • Displays or allows entry of a temporary card limit.
    • This limit is used in conjunction with the “Temporary Limit Expiration Date.”
    • The temporary limit will automatically cease once the “Temporary Limit Expiration Date” is reached.
  • Limit:
    • Displays or allows entry of the permanent card limit.
    • If an amount is entered here, it will override the default “Card Type Limit.”
  • Card Type Limit: Displays the default limit defined by the card’s type.

Temporary Limit Expiration Date

  • Field: If a temporary limit is set for Total Debit, ATM (PIN), or POS (Sig), enter the date on which this temporary limit will expire.

Restrictions Section

This section allows for setting specific restrictions on the use of a suffix. Enter the corresponding letter code in the “Restrictions” column.

  • N: Suffix is restricted from all activity.
  • I: Suffix is restricted to inquiries only.
  • W: Suffix is restricted to withdrawals and inquiries.
  • D: Suffix is restricted to deposits only.
