Suffix Control Configuration
Overview
Suffix Control Configuration in the FLEX system enables credit unions to manage and assign share, loan, and certificate types to specific suffixes. This functionality serves two primary purposes:
- Grouping: Allows for the logical grouping of related account types.
- Validation: Provides users with a pre-defined list of valid suffixes when opening new shares, loans, or certificates, ensuring data integrity and reducing errors.
Accessing Suffix Control Configuration
Suffix Control Configuration is located within the General Configuration section of the FLEX Main Menu.
- Navigation Path: FLEX Main Menu > General Configuration > Suffix Control Configuration
Suffix Control Management Methods
Suffix controls can be established and managed using several methods within the FLEX system:
- Adding a Suffix to a Type: Recommended for assigning multiple suffixes to a single type.
- Adding a Type to a Suffix: Recommended for assigning multiple types to a single suffix.
- Copying an Existing Type: Allows for the replication of suffix controls from an existing type when creating a new one.
- Individual Type Configuration: Direct management of suffix controls within an individual type’s configuration.
