Maintain EOM Date List
This document provides technical guidance for users on maintaining the End of Month (EOM) Date List within the FLEX system. This feature is crucial for credit unions utilizing unattended End of Period (EOP) processing.
1. Purpose of the EOM Date List
The EOM Date List is designed to specify an alternative date for Member EOM processing when the true calendar month-end date falls on a day the credit union is normally closed.
- Necessity: Only add dates to this list if the credit union will be closed on the actual month-end date and Member EOM needs to run on an earlier date.
- Exclusion: If the credit union is open on the true month-end date, there is no need to add that date to this list.
2. Locating Maintain EOM Date List
To access the “Maintain EOM Date List” function:
- Navigate to the FLEX Main Menu.
- Locate and select System Management.
- Within System Management, find and select Maintain EOM Date List.
- Visual Reference: Refer to the provided image within the FLEX Academy documentation for the exact menu path.
3. Understanding the EOM Date List Display
The EOM Date List displays all previously added EOM dates.
- Displayed Information:
- Opt: An option field for actions (S, D, A).
- EOM Date: The date entered for EOM processing.
- For EOM: The true calendar month-end date that the EOM Date is replacing.
- Expired: Indicates if the entry is no longer active.
- Important Note: If a date is added that the credit union is normally open, the system will display the message *Record not needed. See note above.* next to the entry.
4. Managing EOM Dates
4.1 Adding a New EOM Date
To add a new EOM date to the list:
- Press F6 to initiate the “Add New EOM Date” function.
- A New Date field will appear.
- Enter the desired EOM date in MM/DD/YY format into the New Date field.
- Example: If EOM is to run on January 30, enter 01/30.
- Crucial Note: Do not enter a date if the EOM processing falls on the last calendar date of the month (e.g., if EOM will run on January 31, do not enter a date).
- Press Enter to add the date to the EOM date list.
4.2 Available Options for Existing Entries
For existing entries on the EOM Date List, the following options are available in the Opt column:
- S: Select
- D: Delete
- A: Audit
