System Management System Management Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL)

This document provides technical guidance for navigating and utilizing the Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL) functionality within the FLEX system.

1. Accessing CECL

The CECL feature is located within the Managerial/Reports section of the FLEX Main Menu.

  • Navigation Path: Managerial > Reports > Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL)

2. Overview of the CECL Screen

Upon accessing CECL, you will be presented with the “Current Expected Credit Loss Records” screen. This screen displays a summary of records and provides options for data manipulation and export.

  • Key Information Displayed:
    • # Records Matching Filter: Shows the number of records that match any applied filters.
    • Total # Records: Displays the total number of CECL records available in the system (e.g., 4,317).
  • Default Data Fields:
    • Account
    • Suffix
    • Current Balance
    • Data Year
    • Loan Type
    • Loan Term
    • Interest Rate

3. Data Management and Export Options

The CECL screen offers several functionalities to manage and export your credit loss data.

3.1. EOM (End of Month) Data

  • Functionality: Displays End of Month (EOM) data for all loans.
  • Usage: Click the EOM button to populate the screen with EOM loan data.

3.2. Filter Functionality

The Filter option allows users to create, save, and run customized data views.

  • Functionality:
    • Create new filters.
    • Save frequently used filters.
    • Run saved filters to display specific subsets of data.
  • Data Manipulation within Filtered View:
    • Data fields can be added.
    • Data fields can be removed.
    • Data fields can be edited.
  • Exporting Filtered Data: Data displayed after applying a filter can be exported in the format shown on the screen.

3.3. Export All

The Export All function generates a comprehensive file containing all CECL data.

  • Functionality: Generates a file of all CECL data.
  • Export Location: The generated file is saved to the FLEX/CU Files/CECL directory.
    • Example File Path: /flex/CU Files/CECL/file name (e.g., CECLDATA20211209103513.csv)
  • Important Note: If your credit union is not mapped for the FLEX drive, you must contact Hardware Support for assistance.

3.4. Export to AS400

This option is available for exporting data specifically to AS400 systems.

  • Functionality: Exports the displayed CECL data to an AS400 compatible format.
  • Example AS400 File Path: /flex/CU Files/CECL/CECLDATA20211209103513.csv
