This document provides technical guidance for users on configuring and managing notifications within the Flex system, accessible via the mobile application. Notifications enable members to receive alerts based on account activity and predefined criteria.

1. Overview of Notifications

The Flex system’s notification feature allows users to stay informed about their account activities by setting up customizable alerts. These alerts can be triggered by:

  • Transaction amounts
  • Current balances
  • Savings goals
  • Loan payment due dates

Important Note: Notifications must be enabled separately for each device and each account.

2. Accessing and Enabling Notifications

To begin setting up notifications:

  1. Access the Menu: From the mobile application, navigate to the main menu.
  2. Select Notifications: Choose the “Notifications” option from the services list.
  3. Enable Notifications: On the “Notifications” screen, toggle the “Enable Notifications” switch to the ON position.

3. About Notifications

The “About Notifications” section provides a brief description of the available notification options within the menu. To view this information:

  1. From the “Notifications” screen, tap “About Notifications.”

4. Configuring Account-Specific Notifications

The Flex system supports notifications for Checking, Savings, and Loan accounts. Each account type offers specific notification criteria.

4.1. Checking Account Notifications

Checking accounts allow for two types of notifications:

  • Transaction Amount: Receive a notification when a transaction meets or exceeds a specified amount.
    • Configuration:
      1. Toggle “Enable Checking” to ON.
      2. Enter the desired amount in the “Transaction Amount” field.
  • Balance Below: Receive a notification when the account balance falls below a specified amount.
    • Configuration:
      1. Toggle “Enable Checking” to ON.
      2. Enter the desired amount in the “Balance Below” field.

4.2. Savings Account Notifications

Savings accounts offer three types of notifications:

  • Transaction Amount: Receive a notification when a transaction meets or exceeds a specified amount.
    • Configuration:
      1. Toggle “Enable Savings” to ON.
      2. Enter the desired amount in the “Transaction Amount” field.
  • Balance Below: Receive a notification when the account balance falls below a specified amount.
    • Configuration:
      1. Toggle “Enable Savings” to ON.
      2. Enter the desired amount in the “Balance Below” field.
  • Savings Goal: Receive a notification when a specific savings suffix reaches a predefined balance goal.
    • Configuration:
      1. Toggle “Enable Savings Goal” to ON.
      2. Enter the total savings goal amount in the “Savings Goal” field.
      3. Specify the relevant suffix for the savings goal in the “Goal Suffix” field.

4.3. Loan Account Notifications

Loan accounts provide two types of notifications:

  • Transaction Amount: Receive a notification when a transaction related to the loan meets or exceeds a specified amount.
    • Configuration:
      1. Toggle “Enable Loans” to ON.
      2. Enter the desired amount in the “Transaction Amount” field.
  • Loan Reminders: Receive a reminder that a loan payment is due.
    • Configuration:
      1. Toggle “Enable Loan Reminders” to ON.
      2. Specify the number of “Days Before” the loan is due to receive the notification.

5. Saving Your Notification Settings

After configuring your desired notification settings for any account type, ensure you tap the “Save” button (typically located in the top right corner of the Notifications screen) to apply your changes.
