2-Factor Authentication

Mobicint Lesssons 2-Factor Authentication

This document provides technical guidance on utilizing 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) within the www.flexcutech.com system, specifically for desktop users accessing mobiCint. 2FA enhances the security of your account by requiring a second form of verification in addition to your password.

1. Overview of 2-Factor Authentication

2FA is a security process that requires two distinct forms of identification before granting access to an account. For mobiCint desktop users, Flex offers three primary authentication methods:

  • SMS Authentication: A code is sent to your registered mobile phone number via text message.
  • Email Authentication: A code is sent to your registered email address.
  • High-Risk Authentication (Challenge Questions): You will be prompted to answer pre-defined security questions. This option is also available with Tier 2 High-Risk Authentication.

2. Accessing 2-Factor Authentication Options

Upon logging into mobiCint on your desktop, you will be presented with the 2-Factor Authentication selection screen.

2.1. Selecting an Authentication Method

  1. Review Available Options: The screen will display the available 2FA methods:
    • TEXT (followed by the last four digits of your registered phone number, e.g., TEXT-7353)
    • Email
    • Answer a Challenge
  2. Choose Your Preferred Method: Select the radio button corresponding to your desired authentication method.
  3. Proceed: Click the “NEXT” button to continue with the chosen method.
