Did You Know? Display Member Credit Score History
1. Introduction
This documentation outlines the configuration steps required to display a member’s credit bureau score history and credit reports directly within Transaction Entry in the FLEX system. It also covers how to mask credit scores for credit union employee accounts, ensuring data privacy where necessary.
2. Purpose
The “Did You Know? Display Member’s Credit Score History” feature enables users to:
- Quickly view a member’s credit bureau score history and credit reports from Transaction Entry.
- Mask credit scores on employee accounts for enhanced security and privacy.
3. Viewing Member Credit Score History
To enable the display of recent credit bureau scores and reports for members in Transaction Entry, the following configuration steps must be completed:
3.1. Configure Each Credit Bureau
- Each credit bureau used for pulling credit reports within the credit union must be configured independently.
3.2. Configure Score Type General Control
- Access: Score Type General Control can be found under Credit Bureau in the FLEX Main Menu:
- Navigate to Credit Bureau.
- Select Score Type General Control.
- Configuration:
- Select the specific credit bureau score type you wish to display.
- In the “Display In Inquiry/TE” field, enter Y.

3.3. Configure Features
- Access: Navigate to “Features” located in the FLEX Main Menu:
- Navigate to System Administration.
- Expand General Configuration.
- Expand Configuration.
- Select Features.
- Configuration:
- In the “Show CB Score on TE (Overlay Teller)” field, enter Y.
4. Masking Credit Union Employee Credit Scores in Transaction Entry
Many credit unions choose to mask credit scores for their employees. To implement this option, the following configuration steps are necessary:
4.1. Configure Miscellaneous Information
- Access: Navigate to “Miscellaneous Information” under System Administration, General Configuration, Configuration in the FLEX Main Menu:
- Navigate to System Administration.
- Expand General Configuration.
- Expand Configuration.
- Select Miscellaneous Information.
- Configuration:
- In the “Mask Cr Bureau Score Juice Only (Y/N)” field, enter Y.
4.2. Mark Employee Account in Address Maintenance
- Access: Navigate to Address Maintenance, Miscellaneous Tab.
- Configuration:
- In the “Credit Union Employee” field, mark the employee account as either “Employee,” “Board Member,” or anything other than N.
4.3. Configure Teller Configuration Menu
- Access: Navigate to the Teller Configuration Menu:
- Navigate to System Administration.
- Expand Reports.
- Select Teller Configuration Report. (This might be a slight discrepancy with the provided image which shows “Teller Configuration” directly under System Administration, but the text indicates the report).
- Alternatively, it might be directly under Teller > Teller Maintenance > Edit Teller > FLEX Ten tab (as shown in the last screenshot).
- Configuration:
- From the “Mask Credit Score” dropdown box, select “Use Settings in General Configuration/Miscellaneous Information.”
5. Result
Once these configurations are in place, unless masked, credit scores will be visible in the upper left corner of Transaction Entry, underneath member information. If masking is configured for employee accounts, the credit score and grade will no longer be visible.
