1. Introduction

The Calyx Interface (MISMO) is a critical feature within the FLEX Loan Processing system. Its primary function is to streamline the loan application process by enabling the automatic population of loan information directly from Calyx (MISMO) files. This functionality significantly reduces manual data entry and improves efficiency.

2. Purpose

The Calyx Interface (MISMO) is designed to:

  • Import loan application files received from Calyx (MISMO).
  • Automatically populate relevant information into the FLEX Loan Processing system.
  • Enhance data accuracy and consistency.
  • Accelerate the loan origination workflow.

3. Accessing the Interface

To utilize the Calyx Interface (MISMO) within the Flex system, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Loan Processing:
    • Access the member account through the main navigation.
    • Select “Loan Processing.”
  2. Initiate a New Loan:
    • Within the “Loan Processing – Loan Selection” screen, click the “New Loan” button.

4. Importing a MISMO File

Once you have initiated a new loan, proceed with the following steps to import your Calyx (MISMO) file:

  1. Select Loan Type and Suffix:
    • On the “Loan Processing Type/Suffix Selection” screen, choose the appropriate:
      • Loan Type
      • Suffix
    • Note: You can view “Loan Suffixes Currently On Account” for reference.
  2. Initiate MISMO Import:
    • Click the “Import MISMO” button.
  3. Browse for File:
    • An “Open” dialog box will appear.
    • Browse your local directories to locate the desired MISMO file.
    • Ensure the “Files of Type” is set to “XML Imports.”
  4. Open the File:
    • Select the MISMO file and click the “Open” button.

5. Automatic Data Population

Upon successfully opening the MISMO file:

  • FLEX will automatically pull the provided data from the file.
  • The relevant fields within the “Loan Processing – New Loan” screen will be auto-populated. This includes, but is not limited to, sections such as:
    • Payment Information
    • Dates
    • Fees
    • Loan Information
    • Miscellaneous
    • Insurance
    • Late Charge
    • Credit Score
    • Dealer Incentive
    • Amortized Fees

6. Key Data Fields Populated (Examples)

The Calyx Interface (MISMO) is designed to populate various loan-related data points. Examples of fields that may be auto-populated include:

  • Payment Information:
    • Payment Calculation Method
    • Balloon
    • Payment Amount
    • Cash Payment
    • Payment Method

  • Dates:
    • Disbursement Date
    • First Payment Date
    • Interest Paid Through
    • Last Payment Date
    • Beginning Skip Date

7. Troubleshooting and Best Practices

  • File Format: Ensure the imported file is in the correct MISMO XML format.
  • Data Integrity: Verify the accuracy of the auto-populated data after import. Make any necessary manual adjustments.
  • Error Handling: If an error occurs during import, review the MISMO file for any formatting issues or missing required data.
