FLEX Ten Teller Transactions
This document outlines the procedures for performing various teller transactions within the FLEX system, focusing on both Quick Transaction Codes and the standard Wallet interface.
1. Transaction Entry Methods
The FLEX system provides two primary methods for performing transactions:
- Quick Transactions Codes: Pre-defined codes for rapid entry.
- Standard Wallet: A more guided interface for transaction entry.
2. Quick Transactions Codes
Quick Transaction Codes allow for efficient, rapid entry of common transactions directly at the top of the screen.
2.1. Structure of a Quick Transaction
A Quick Transaction follows a specific format:
Code + Sub Account + Amount = Enter
- Code: A two or three-letter code representing the transaction type (e.g., DP for Deposit, CW for Cash Withdrawal).
- Sub Account (Suffix): The specific sub-account number involved in the transaction (e.g., 001, 213).
- Amount: The monetary value of the transaction (e.g., 100 for $100.00).
2.2. Examples of Quick Transactions
- Deposit:
- Example: DP 001 100
- Description: Deposits $100.00 into sub-account 001.
- Cash Withdrawal:
- Example: CW 213 25
- Description: Withdraws $25.00 from sub-account 213.
2.3. Discovering Quick Codes
If you are unsure of a Quick Code:
- Begin typing in the Quick Transactions bar.
- A list of available Quick Codes will appear as you type.
2.4. Common Quick Codes
- (CW) Cash Withdrawal
- (KW) Check Withdrawal
- (CA) Cash Advance
- (KA) Check Advance
- (QKD) Quick Check Deposit
- (TR) Transfer (e.g., TR 001 110 75 for a transfer of $75.00 from sub-account 001 to 110).
- (MO) Money Order (e.g., MO 110 50 for a Money Order of $50.00 from sub-account 110).
2.5. Entering Multiple Quick Transactions
- Multiple Quick Transactions can be entered consecutively.
- After entering one transaction, hit Enter to drop it and continue entering additional transactions.
- Continue this process until all desired Quick Transactions are entered.
3. Drawer Operations (After Quick Transactions)
Once all necessary Quick Transactions have been entered:
- Hit Enter to proceed to the Drawer interface.
- The Drawer will prompt for necessary Cash In, Cash Out, and Checks information.
3.1. Handling Checks in Drawer
- Teller Capture:
- Insert checks into the scanner.
- Click Scan.
- Manual Entry (No Teller Capture):
- Click Add Check.
- Hit Enter to proceed after handling checks.
4. Finalizing Transactions: Posting
After all transactions have been dropped (either via Quick Transactions or Wallet):
- Click the Post button to finalize the transactions.
- For cash withdrawals, clicking Post will bring up the Drawer again to enter cash denominations, if applicable. Enter the denominations and then hit Enter to finalize.
5. Standard Wallet Transaction Entry
If Quick Transactions are not utilized, the standard Wallet interface can be used for transaction entry.
5.1. Accessing the Wallet
- Click the Wallet button to display the transaction entry panel.
5.2. Initiating a Transaction in Wallet
- Enter the following information:
- Action: The type of transaction (e.g., Deposit, Cash Withdrawal, Transfer).
- Sub-Account: The relevant sub-account.
- Amount: The transaction amount.
- Description (if needed): Any additional details.
5.3. Dropping Multiple Transactions in Wallet
- Similar to Quick Transactions, multiple transactions can be dropped within the Wallet interface before final posting.
5.4. Example Wallet Transactions
- Deposit:
- Enter Action as “Deposit”.
- Enter Sub-Account (e.g., 1-REGULAR SHARES).
- Enter Amount (e.g., 500.00).
- Enter Description (if needed).
- Once dropped, the Drawer will appear to enter cash and/or checks. Enter applicable information or scan checks, then hit Enter to drop the transaction. Continue entering additional transactions if needed, otherwise, click Post.
- Cash Withdrawal:
- Enter Action as “Cash Withdrawal”.
- Enter Sub-Account (e.g., 1-REGULAR SHARES).
- Enter Amount (e.g., 100.00).
- Enter Description (if needed).
- Hit Enter to drop the transaction. Continue entering additional transactions if needed, otherwise, click Post to enter cash out denominations.
- Transfer:
- Enter Action as “Transfer”.
- Enter From Sub-Account (e.g., 1-REGULAR SHARES).
- For transfers to another account: Enter the To Account.
- For transfers within the same account: Leave To Account blank.
- Enter To Sub-Account (e.g., 213-CHOICE CHECKING).
- Enter Amount (e.g., 25.00).
- Enter Description (if needed).
- Hit Enter. Both sides of the transfer will appear as dropped.
- Continue entering additional transactions if needed, otherwise, click Post to finalize the transfer.
- Money Order:
- Enter Action as “Money Order”.
- Enter From Sub-Account.
- Enter Amount.
- Enter Operation Code (e.g., MONEY ORDERS (MCT)).
- Enter Pay to the Order Of information (Name, Address).
- Hit Enter or click OK to drop the transaction.
- Click Post to finalize.
6. Active Transactions Panel
The ACTIVE TRANSACTIONS panel provides an overview of current transaction statuses:
- Displays Cash In, Checks In, Credits, Cash Out, Checks Out, Debits, Received, Deposited, and Remaining balances.
- Lists individual transactions that have been dropped but not yet posted, including:
- Member Name
- Account
- Action
- Amount
- Fee (if applicable)
- Pay to the Order Of (for Money Orders)
- Draft Number (for withdrawals if applicable)
