FLEX was founded in 1978. Since then, the company has grown to more than 150 employees and 280 credit union customers with a management team that represents some of the most experienced professionals in the industry, having a combined 150 years of experience and service.
James M. Simonsen
President
As President, Jim oversees all company direction. Specifically, he works closely with all software and hardware functions including product development, network infrastructure and security services. Jim has worked at FLEX since 1982 and has served in an executive management capacity for the company since 1994, with the same capable and experienced management team. Jim has a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University.
SEAN M. HOLCOMB
Chief Experience Officer
As chief operating officer, Sean is responsible for enhancing departmental interoperability and partners with the FLEX executive management team in formulating and facilitating strategic product development and corporate policy. Sean has been with FLEX since 1988 and has worked in an executive management position overseeing all marketing and sales. Sean has a B.S. in marketing from the University of Utah.
PRESTON PACKER
Chief Marketing Officer
As chief marketing officer, Preston is responsible for sales, marketing and customer account management. Preston has worked at FLEX since 2000 and has worked in various sales management roles over that time. Preston’s focus has been primarily aimed at helping credit unions achieve operational efficiencies through the adoption of the FLEX core system offerings. Preston has a B.S. in Economics from the University of Utah.
DAVID K. JOHNSON
Chief Operating Officer
As chief services officer, Dave is responsible for operational support, client training and client services. Dave has worked at FLEX since 1991 and served in an executive management capacity for the company since 2009 with the same capable and experienced management team. Dave graduated from Utah State University with a B.S. degree in Finance.
Brad Fogg
Executive Vice President | CFO
As chief financial officer, Brad directs the financial and accounting operations at FLEX. Brad worked as a Financial Auditor, Tax Consultant, and Wealth Advisor for the accounting firms of Grant Thornton, Deloitte & Touche, and CBIZ and the law firm of Travis Bowen LLC. He was a software engineer with SunGard Data Systems and the CFO of the Intermountain Peterbilt Dealerships, Investors Dynamics, and the Office of the CH 13 Bankruptcy Trustee. Brad joined FLEX in 2010 as the Financial Controller and the Director of Human Resources. He earned an Honor BA in Accounting and a Master of Professional Accountancy (tax) from the University of Utah. Professional designations earned include Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
